Two I.C.A.R. contract Bundeswehr pocketknives (a.k.a. GAK - German Army Knife) will be used to make a "Mauser" type knife.
These are two I.C.A.R. contract Bundeswehr pocketknives (a.k.a. GAK - German Army Knife), one with a broken reamer. Purchased at the cost of $7 each, they will be used to make a "Mauser" type knife.
  The knives disassembled.

New pins have been made and parts have been trial fitted together. Note that there are still two corkscrews on the knife.

The extra corkscrew has been cut off, leaving only the tang to act as a spacer.

What I refer to as a "Scagel" style nail nick has been cut into the outside blade.

Completed "Poorman's Mauser" with the outside blade "clipped" and original issue scales replaced.
My Poorman's Mauser shown with a true Victorinox Mauser.
The issue scale has been slotted to hold a pair of Victorinox tweezers and the corkscrew holds a mini-screwdriver.
A view of clip-point blade closed.
