Continuing the look at the Creative Factory’s Urban Chameleon line, this months Collection Highlights model is the Liz Taylor model, named in honour of diamond aficionado and actress Elizabeth Taylor.  The Liz Taylor model is, as are all Urban Chameleon knives, a scale mod done on a standard Victorinox Waiter model.

Last month I said I would do an article on the PocketGrip from Wenger soon enough, but since then I’ve found a better story .  Just after I wrote that article, I managed to get another variant with some help from Tim at Felinevet- the Wenger IronGrip.  As you can see from the pictures, I went one step farther to make this a real collectible to be proud of!

The 1893 Reissue knife wasn’t the only interesting new product that Wenger unveiled at this year’s SHOT Show.  While it may have been the biggest and most exciting product for the collector, Wenger wouldn’t dare forget the larger and very important user demographic!  To that end they’ve released a few new ideas to appeal to the average user, and they’ve done it in typical Wenger fashion- first class and well thought out!

As any SOSAK member can imagine, visiting the Victorinox booth was like going to Graceland for me!  It was an impressive booth, with numerous displays all presented tastefully and professionally, as befitting a company of Victorinox’ reputation and standing.  One could not help but admire the cleanliness and attention to detail that we all have come to expect from the knives they manufacture.

I'm amazed at the level of interest in the new Soft Touch line. I'm also very happy to see several new models sporting this new finish. Have a look at the Wenger's european website to spot the Soft Touch applied to the Swiss Clippers!

Congratulations you are being considered for ownership of a Swiss Army Knife.  Please take time to read and understand the history and the ownership guidelines.

I managed to scan some of the Victorinox Cutlery info I recieved from a very helpful Victorinox representative at the SHOT Show.  As such, I'd like to dedicate this page to Cutlery Girl!  I've converted these to .pdf for easy reading and downloading.  Make sure you have Adobe Reader installed!

Originally I thought the black scaled Rescue Tool might not be the finest idea, but then I might just be pre-programmed by all the other brightly colored tools on the market, intended for first responders.  And, thanks to SwissBianco, I have one to test out!

While the Cadet has always been a popular model amongst SOSAK members and other SAK users, there has always been an interest in special variants like the infamous Copper version.  While the copper model may still be an elusive dream for some, just about everyone can get their hands on some new offerings in a rainbow of new colors!
