OK we've all seen them on Ebay, tired, beat up SAKs that have seen a hard life, some are just worn out through natural wear and tear, and some of them sadly have been abused!

The morning started like any other, we checked out our commissions (rigs) and left the station even before the sun was up.

Little did I know that this would be a day I would never forget.

Are Pocket Knives safe?  If ever there was a convincing argument, here it is!

As reported by Neil (NKB), fake Victorinox Rescue tools, complete with all the appropriate logos and stamps have shown up on eBay recently and have suckered in a few people so far.  As with many knockoffs, the excitement of getting a good deal is quickly ruined by the realization that what they spent good money on was a cheap copy that was hardly worth the shipping cost.

At the SHOT Show in February, one of the things that Victorinox showed us was a new scale type called SilverTech.  At the time I thought they looked neat, but I wasn’t really all that impressed as everyone knows how I feel about translucent scales.  These were admittedly somewhat fancier than regular translucent scales, but I’m getting ahead of myself.

Here he is, back with more videos for SOSAK members!

Recently I got a request from Wenger, North America to provide some modded Wengers for the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City.  I contacted several of our resident modders, and you have all seen the results in recent months- well, here's the lowdown on the show!

From the moment you walk in the door at Freeport Knife Company in Freeport Maine, you know you are in the presence of a serious Swiss Army collector’s shop.  Maybe it’s the large Bantam cutout on the outside, maybe it’s the display case full of drool-worthy rare and collectable SAKs just inside the door, or maybe it’s the numerous Victorinox clocks.  It’s hard to tell what sets the blood pumping most, but none of the stuff on the walls or in the display cases prepared me for perhaps the most interesting treasure in the store!
